In their f-i-r-s-t year of competition, our student competitors brought home TWO awards from the 2012 Future City Engineering competition. They won the 2012 ROOKIE TEAM OF THE YEAR award and the 2012 BEST FREIGHT TRANSPORTATION NETWORK award. Great work students and advisers. Christmas joy filled the school in December. The annual Breakfast with Santa event featuring a cookie walk and craft fair was hugely popular. The children's Christmas Concert was especially beautiful. It WasA VeryMerryChristmas! Thanksgiving was celebrated with songs, stories, and feasting by the K5 Pilgrims and 3rd and 4th grade American Indians. All gave thanks for their many blessings. Congratulations to Miss Jackson, Tyler, Lorenzo, Tim, Jackson, Luli, Demi, Lauren, and Amanda for their participation in the Marquette University High School Math Meet on 10/16. The special Patriots Day Mass on 9/11/2011 was well attended by the school community. Students participated in special activities that honored those who lost their lives in the 9/11 tragedy and those who served their country honorably during the crisis. Under the leadership of the principal, Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction certified teachers present state-approved curriculum to students in personalized learning environments.
